With this exceptional tour, discover one of the most isolated and uncrowded places in the world by venturing into beautiful hikes in the valley of Thimphu- Paro and Haa. Immerse yourself in the unique and vibrant culture of this kingdom by taking an adventurous six days journey like an explorer rather than a tourist.

Day 01: Arrive At Paro

Discover the great Himalayan peaks as you fly into Paro Airport. On arrival you will be received by your private guide with a traditional white scarf of auspiciousness and escort you for sightseeing.


Traverse the traditional wooden cantilever bridge to reach Paro Rinpung Dzong or the fortress on Heap of Jewels and explore the astonishing architecture and paintings before visiting the National museum to discover the artifacts dating back to 4000 BCE. The National Museum or the Ta Dzong served as a watch tower to protect the Paro Dzong in the olden days.


Later take a leisure hike to the ancient Zuri Dzong. The trail offers enchanting view of the verdant Paro valley, Paro Dzong and the Ta Dzong.

Day 02: Paro To Thimphu
  • 1. Drive to Thimphu with optional stop at the invigorating Tachog Lhakhang before reaching the capital city sprawled along the banks of Wang Chu (Thimphu River). Upon reaching Thimphu visit the gigantic Buddha Dordenma statue at Kuenselphodrang and capture the spectacular view of the Thimphu valley.
  • 2. Take a refreshing hike through the flavor and scents of thick pines forest to Wangditse before visiting the glorious Tashichho Dzong.
  • 3. Evening at leisure at hotel or explore the contemporary Bhutanese life by taking a stroll in Thimphu city on your own.

Day 03: Thimphu To Haa Valley Via Chuzom
  • 1. After a good breakfast, journey to the pristine forests and tranquil mountains of Haa valley located at 3,000 meters. Much of Haa is untouched by modernization thus offering our explorers the chance to experience authentic Bhutanese villages in its raw and rugged natural beauty.
  • 2. On arriving Haa valley- walk through a medieval village before climbing up to the secluded Jungney Dra where you can see foot print of Machig Labdron on a rock before hiking further to Kathso Gompa.
  • 3. Today you have the option of staying in a traditional Bhutanese home stay with local family where you can engage in their activities like cooking Bhutanese dish, preparing butter tea, milking cow or relax by taking a traditional herbal hot stone bath or stay in a hotel to relax on your own.

Day 04: Haa To Paro Via Chele La (Mountain Pass)

Hike to the peaceful Mountain of Kila Nunnery from Chele La Pass
Drive to Chele La, the highest motorable pass situated at 3,988 meters, marked by numerous prayer flags. After circumambulating a white washed stupa, hit the trail to the peaceful mountain of Kila Nunnery. The hike offers explorers’ wonderful opportunity to venture into the unspoiled forest of rhododendrons and wild flowers before being able to see clouds floating below your feet from the nunnery.
From there descend about 2 kilometers on a dirt road before connecting to the main road leading to Bondey in Paro. You will notice the gradual change in vegetation as you approach the valley floor.
Upon reaching Paro try your taste pallets to the different flavors of Bhutanese beer at Namgay Artisinal Brewery before taking an evening walk in the typical Bhutanese houses of Paro Street.

Day 05: Hike To The Legendary Taktsang

We have saved the best for last. Get your energy up at breakfast today as we will be hiking to the famous Tiger’s Nest monastery resting at the sheer edge of the cliff, 900 meters above the valley floor. The monastery is at an elevation of 3,120 meters above the sea level and is an overwhelming sight to capture.
Taktsang or Tiger’s Nest acquires its name from the legend of its foundation, when in the 8th century Guru Rinpoche, widely revered as the second Buddha in Bhutan, arrived from Tibet flying across the mountains on the back of a tigress and meditated here for three months and blessed and preached tantric Buddhism.
Visit the ancient Kichu temple and discover the stories connected to its construction in the 7th century before calling of the day.
