Bhutan boasts an immensely diverse climate, shaped primarily by its varying altitudes and the influence

Southern Bhutan - Hot and Humid :

The southern region maintains a hot, humid sub-tropical climate, unchanging throughout the year,
with temperatures between 15-30 degrees Celsius.


Central Bhutan - Temperate Tranquility :

Moving towards the central parts , the climate cools, transitioning to temperate and deciduous forests. central parts Warm Summers
and cool, dry winters characterize this zone.


Northern Bhutan - Winter's Embrace :

In the far North , winter is cold, with perpetual snow covering mountain peaks and the lower parts remaining cool
even in Summer due to the high-altitude terrain. Monsoons and Rainfall. The Indain Summer Monsoon , lasting from late June to late September, predominantly impacts the southern border region, bringing heavy rain and high humidity. This period contributes significantly to the western region's annual rainfall.

Annual precipitation varies widely. The northern border near Tibet sees around forty millimeters, mostly as snow. In the central regions, an average of about 1,000 millimeters is common, while the humid south experiences as much as 7,800 millimeters, fostering thick tropical forests.

Thimphu experiences dry winter months and minimal precipitation until March. From March to August, rainfall gradually increases, peaking at 220 millimeters in August, with a total annual rainfall of nearly 650 millimeters.
